‘Part Time Mermaid’ is another color from Ciaté London’s Gelology Collection. The collection is inspired by “celestial evenings and ethereal beauties”, and is supposed to give a gel-like finish that’s long lasting with the easiness of regular nail polish application. It’s a mint green with specs of blue and purple depending on how the light hits it. A little different from ‘After Party’ in terms of iridescence.
You guys, ‘Part Time Mermaid’ is Sade’s ‘No Ordinary Love’ in a bottle. Amazing!
The blue undertones are definitely stronger than the purple. The color is calming and serene, yet still gives the right amount of shimmer. Just like ‘After Party’, this color is sheer with one coat. So depending on the look you’re going for one or two coats is just enough. I, as always, did two. And of course I added glitter again like I did with ‘After Party‘, but only two nails per hand this time to add the extra sass. It makes my hands look like a glittering ocean oasis perfect for a part-time mermaid. I’ve received many compliments and questions over the past couple of days with this color. This shade can completely stand on its own and doesn’t need any additional accents, BUT you can never have to much sparkle in any capacity. Head over to Ciaté London to purchase this eye catcher before it’s gone.
