Gearing up for Fall means a change in wardrobe and a change in the colors you wear. This never fully applies in Southern California because the weather is always nice, but for those that like to appreciate the seasons (and for those that actually go through them) let’s get into what we can expect for the upcoming Fall season according to Pantone’s Fall 2017 Color Pallet. I’ve never been a fan of Fall colors because I’ve always been one to enjoy bright and festive colors or soft pastels. Darker, warmer colors just don’t go with my vibe. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a few darker, warmer colors. I did find a few that I love, but I’ll always be the girl to where brighter colors no matter the season. I’m glad to see that with the normal warm Fall colors we can still expect some soft hues in the Fall color palette.
Here’s what we can expect for Fall along with the nail polishes to match.
Grenadine – “A powerful, evocative, dynamic red, Grenadine is a confident and self-assured attention-getter.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘Red Lights Ahead…Where?’
Tawny Port – “Taking the Red family to new depths, Tawny Port is elegant, sophisticated, and tasteful.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘Lost on Lombard’
Ballet Slipper – “Descended from the Red family but with a softer touch, Ballet Slipper is always flattering and reminiscent of the rosy glow of health.”
Complimenting Polish: Essie’s ‘Minimalistic’
Butterum – “This snug, warming, and toasty shade is evocative of drinking a glass of Butterum by a roaring fire on a cool autumn evening.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘Freedom of Peach’
Navy Peony – “A mainstay for the season for both palettes, Navy Peony is a dependable and an anchoring shade. Solid and stable, the hue takes some of the load off of black as a go-to neutral.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘Less is Norse’
Neutral Grey – “The standard bearer of all neutrals, Neutral Gray shares the anchoring role with Navy Peony in this palette. It can be used as an accent or a head-to-toe statement shade.”
Complimenting Polish: Essie’s ‘Petal Pushers’
Shaded Spruce – “This is a green you might see in the forest – sheltering and protective as evergreen trees.”
Complimenting Polish: Essie’s ‘The Perfect Cover Up’ or OPI’s ‘CIA = Color is Awesome’
Golden Lime – “Earthy tones with a twist, the golden undertones of Golden Lime makes this yellow-green shade a refreshing complement to fall classics.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘This Isn’t Greenland’
Marina – “Cool with an enhanced vitality, Marina is the only truly cool color in the fall palette that brings with it freshness and brightness.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘No Room for the Blues’
Autumn Maple – “A quintessential autumn color, Autumn Maple is tawny and russet, introducing warmth into the palette.”
Complimenting Polish: OPI’s ‘Yank My Doodle’
Be fierce all Fall 2017 with these daring shades, and stay away from leggings and UGGs while doing so!
XO,
Melly
