Pantone’s Color of the Year: 2017

As we all know by now Pantone released the color of the year for 2017.  If you’ve been living under a rock, or just didn’t know this existed, the color of the year Pantone chose is: Greenery.

The color Greenery is green with yellow undertones.  Laurie Pressman, the Vice President at Pantone, has stated the purpose of Greenery being selected is to rejuvenate and reconnect to both nature and something larger than oneself.  Greenery for 2017 is the fresh start that everyone has been looking for after 2016.  So cliche, but some people live for the cliches I guess.

If you’re into channeling this color on your fingertips, and wondering who the hell has a color like this, look no further as Butter London has got you covered!  Recently I discovered that Butter London has partnered with Pantone for a color collaboration.  Greenery has been perfectly captured in a bottle just for you to channel 2017 with renewed and refreshed  vibes the way Butter London and Pantone have intended.

I myself will not be investing in this bottle of polish as this particular shade of green in my opinion doesn’t compliment my skin tone the way I’d like.  I’ll stick with my top two shades of green for now: Essie’s ‘Chilato’ and OPI’s ‘Gargantuan Green Grape’.

Head over to butterlondon.com to shop the entire Butter London + Pantone collaboration or if you just need to cop Greenery to get your vibes right for the new year.

XO,

Melly
